Heart failure and osteoporosis: common pathogenetic components

This literature review reflects modern ideas about the combination of heart failure (HF) and osteoporosis, common risk factors for these diseases, pathophysiological mechanisms metabolic bone diseases in HF. Despite a growing number studies on combined cardiovascular skeletal system pathology, relationship between decrease mineral density HF remains poorly understood. Both conditions are causes disability, death, prolonged hospitalizations significant reduction quality life, while its exacerbates their course increases incidence adverse outcomes, which is heavy burden patient health care general.
